It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to close down this year’s competition.
Unfortunately, despite a significant number of entries last year, this year we have received an insufficient
number of entries to make it a viable competition.
We hope to relaunch this at some point in the future but having discussed the above with our sponsors,
we have decided to close the competition for 2017.

hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming courses!

This week at #NextBigSongwriter we want to get to know YOU!
We know how difficult it is to sell yourselves - that's why we're encouraging all unsigned songwriters
to film a short 'elevator pitch' video on why they might be The UK Unsigned Songwriter Of The Year 2017!
You can film the video on your phone, laptop, tablet - even film it standing on your head!
Simply tweet the video to our Twitter handle @NextSongwriter & add I AM UK's #NextBigSongwriter
If you're struggling for content here are some ideas:

This week is National Mental Health Awareness Week and we're proud to be behind the
amazing work of our chosen charity - Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy.

Competition Announcement - 27th April 2017
After the success of last year's competition, we're delighted to announce that
The UK Unsigned Songwriter Of The Year will run again in 2017!
Last year we raised over £7,000 for our chosen charities of Nordoff Robbins and Stand Up To Cancer. This year the competition will be even bigger and all proceeds will be donated solely to Nordoff Robbins.
The competition will open for entries on 1st May 2017.
